In the past 12 months, global food and beverage brands have used their packaging innovations to make products more convenient and attractive to consumers. The following five excellent packaging products were selected by foreign websites.

1, eucalyptus pulp packaging

Parkside's OOH-la-la tea biscuits, made from sustainable sources, can be completely composted over the life of the product. The package consists of a biofilm called NatureFlex, made from wood pulp from sustainable eucalyptus plantations purchased in Brazil.

The packaging includes a three-layer structure of paper, NatureFlex biofilms and biopolymer sealant webs. This design provides moisture barriers and oxygen barriers that extend product shelf life and help retailers and consumers minimize food waste.

2, inverted text cans packaging

Some blended fruit juice products that require the manual operation of the consumer are usually instructed to mix and stir the juices to create the ideal flavor. However, under the guidance of how much force can be given to shake accurately, most consumers will shake the bottle violently. Too much vibration may cause gas-containing beverages to overflow. A British soft drink company recently introduced an "inverted can" to guide customers in subconsciously mixing beverages. The design of the bottle gives the consumer an upside-down feeling, allowing them to instinctively turn the jar, and by this gentle shaking to awaken the pulp in the bottle to open the mellow taste of orange juice.

3, integrated spoon yogurt packaging

Nestle's ice cream company, Fronteri, recently launched an innovative design – a scoop of ice cream, to give consumers more convenience and further save resources. The box was developed by Plasticis Regina, a plastic packaging manufacturer, and Verstraete IML, an IML label manufacturer, for Fronteri, with a removable in-mold label (IML) lid and an integrated spoon. Only need to press gently, the spoon can be peeled from the cap.

Pasty and solid drinks, including ice cream and yogurt, are often provided with separate transparent plastic film-packaged spoons, which are not very convenient to use, and the integrated spoon can be used to remove the spoon from the lid and enjoy the ice cream directly.

4. Milk packaging made from natural unbleached paperboard

Arla is a global famous organic milk producer. In order to carry out the organic green pollution-free process, Arla introduced a new type of packaging carton made from natural brown unbleached paperboard in August this year. It is called the Pure-Pak carton. . This carton is made from Stora Enso's Natura Life cardboard and retains the brown color of the wood fibres originating from the Swedish and Norwegian forests.

Natura Life's cardboard is brown both inside and outside, giving the consumer a strong, natural “organic feel” that is not made from bleached puree, which can make it stand out on the shelf.

5. Cans activated with sunlight

Molson Coors has developed a Coors Light can with solar-activated ink that will change color when exposed to sunlight. In the absence of light, the beer cans that have just been taken out of the cold storage are cold-colored and consist of blue, black and white colors that form a mountain-like pattern.

When the cans are exposed to the sun, the bright colors originally designed—the warm gold and red colors—will immediately appear and be dazzling. This beer can is also known as "the world's first beer can using solar activated ink technology."
