New biodegradable plastics come out

BASF company at the K 2001 exhibition grandly launched the company's new environmentally friendly products - full biodegradable plastics, trade name Ecoflex. According to reports, Ecoflex can replace existing general-purpose plastics, and can degrade in a few weeks without leaving residues under soil or composting environmental conditions. Ecoflex is designed for food packaging, especially high-quality foods or green foods. It can also be blended with renewable raw materials, such as starch, for agricultural films, coated paper, or laminated with paper.

Ecoflex is a new class of biodegradable plastics whose degradation mechanism is that naturally occurring enzymes can attack it and biodegrade. Ecoflex complies with Din V 54 900 and complies with the European standard DIN EN 13 432. Ecoflex also accepted the testing and certification of Japan's biodegradable material GreenPla system.

Ecoflex has a combination of processability, performance and full biodegradability. Ecoflex can be made into various films and lunch boxes. Ecoflex membranes behave like LDPE and are flexible enough to be processed on LDPE-processed equipment. Ecoflex coated foamed starch meal boxes give starch materials strength, especially wet strength, to increase tear strength, and prevent oil and water. Ecoflex's printing performance is also good.
