Clean more efficiently with new tools in Vikan’s® EDGE Brush Range

In the ever-evolving world of food processing, maintaining top-notch hygiene is non-negotiable. That's why dependable cleaning tools are essential, and Vikan® has been leading the charge for over 115 years with its commitment to creating the cleanest, most efficient tools possible. This year, Vikan has once again stepped up their game with the introduction of the new EDGE Brush Range. These brushes are designed not only to improve efficiency but also to enhance the overall user experience with better ergonomics and functionality. For those tasked with keeping food processing facilities spotless, this means less strain and more productivity—win-win, right? What's even cooler? These brushes don't just get the job done—they do it in style. Sleek and modern, they bring a touch of professionalism to any workspace. While looks aren’t everything, there’s something undeniably satisfying about using tools that are both practical and aesthetically pleasing. Back in January, Vikan launched the first three styles of the EDGE Brush Range: a long-handled brush, a short-handled brush, and a scrubbing hand brush. Each of these styles comes in varying bristle strengths, effectively replacing six older part numbers in one fell swoop. Fast forward to now, and the latest addition to the family is the bench brush, available in two bristle strengths: soft (part number 4587) and medium (part number 4589). The redesign includes a more ergonomic handle, ensuring comfort during prolonged use. The bristle placement has also been optimized for maximum effectiveness against stubborn dirt and grime. For those curious about the differences between the bristle strengths, here’s a quick breakdown. The 4587 brush with soft bristles is ideal for tackling fine, dry particles like flour or powdered sugar. On the other hand, the medium bristles on the 4589 make it perfect for handling slightly wetter materials or larger debris such as sugar, chocolate, pastry scraps, or vegetable peels. One particularly noteworthy update is that the 4589 bench brush is now available in all eight colors: green, blue, red, white, yellow, orange, purple, and black. Previously, black was absent from the 4588 series, which the 4589 replaces. At Remco Products, we understand the importance of color-coding in food safety protocols. Having tools in multiple colors allows for greater flexibility when designing or refining color-coded systems, which is increasingly recognized as a crucial component of HACCP programs and food safety initiatives. Color-coding isn’t mandatory by law, but it demonstrates a proactive approach to quality assurance. Facilities looking to achieve food safety certifications or prepare for FDA audits benefit greatly from a well-thought-out color-coding strategy. If you're interested in learning more about how color-coding can help streamline operations and boost food safety, we recently published a comprehensive white paper exploring the topic. Whether you're considering implementing a new system or enhancing an existing one, this resource offers valuable insights. Feel free to download a copy to keep or share with your team—it could prove invaluable for your facility's success. So whether you're in charge of maintaining cleanliness in a bustling bakery or a large-scale industrial plant, the EDGE Brush Range from Vikan is sure to make life easier while adding a touch of sophistication to your cleaning arsenal.
