Reflectors play a very important role in UV curing machines. Some light curing machine manufacturers often overlook its role, and use some alternatives to act as a reflector, and even do not install a reflector, so that UV light 40% -50% of the UV energy is wasted.

At present, there are mainly three types of reflectors for UV curing machines on the market: focusing type, non-focusing type, and multi-faceted reflection type. Each of the three types of reflectors has its own unique characteristics, and can be selected according to actual requirements. In general, UV light curing machines mostly use focusing reflectors. Its structural feature is that the reflected UV light energy is concentrated, and the efficiency of photo-curing is high, which is beneficial to the solidification of the ink of the thick ink layer, and can completely cure the deep ink layer.

Whether we choose the focus type reflector or the other two types of reflectors, attention should be paid to the material selection, shape, mounting position, and heat dissipation of the reflector when it is selected:

1. Selection of UV light reflectors

In the selection of materials, aluminum must be used, and iron or stainless steel cannot be used to save costs. Because the stainless steel plate will turn black at high temperatures, not only will not play a reflective role after darkening, but also absorb light.

Reflective effect is the best mirror aluminum oxide plate, the reflectance of up to 80% or more, thereby greatly improving the utilization of UV.

2. The shape of the UV curing machine reflector

The shape of the reflector is to ensure that the UV light can be gathered together. Therefore, the shape of the semicircular arc is best.

3, UV light machine lamp installation position

Pay attention to the erection position of the UV lamp to ensure that it is in focus.

4, UV light curing machine lamp cooling

The reflector is an important channel for the UV lamp to dissipate heat. Therefore, the outside of the aluminum cover must be processed into a heat sink to increase the heat dissipation area.
