Apple Mansfield: iWatch Project Leader Who Am I?

Apple Mansfield: iWatch Project Leader Who Am I?
Apple executives Mansfield: Or iWatch project manager (Figure)
Mansfield's name disappears from the Apple official site list of executives. Apple spokesman Steve Dowling later told AllThingsD: "Mansfield will no longer be a member of the Apple management team, but he will remain with Apple for a special project and direct Apple CEO Tim Cook reports.
The above situation is also the latest news on the changes in Mansfield's position. During the past year, Mansfield's job vacillation became one of Apple's most confusing events. Last fall, Mansfield served as Apple's senior vice president of technology, the department was newly established, mainly responsible for the development of wireless technology. Prior to that, Mansfield served as senior vice president of hardware development for Apple and was primarily responsible for the development of the Apple iPhone and iPad tablet.
In June 2012, Apple said in a press release that Mansfield is about to retire. Two months later, he did not retire, but plans to work two more years in the Apple. It is reported that when Apple announced the news of Mansfield's retirement, it triggered the "turmoil" of employees in Apple. Staff at Apple's hardware development department believes his successor, Dan Ricci, will not be able to take over the R & D team if Mansfield retires.
Apple CEO Cook talked to Mansfield, hoping that he would continue to work for Apple, promised to give Mansfield a high salary, and promised to "ignore Mansfield" employees to be fired. According to the Bloomberg Businessweek report, Mansfield's total compensation was 85.5 million U.S. dollars last year, the vast majority of which was paid in shares. Mansfield also became the second highest-paid executive in the S & P 500.
In addition to high salaries, Cook may well have named Mansfield as head of a new project, and the R & D program is the most exciting new project since Apple introduced the iPhone. It is reported that Mansfield is responsible for the next generation of Apple's flagship product iWatch development work.
If Cook did not "fire" Apple exec Scott Forstall in October last year, Mansfield might not have been as "upbeat" in developing iWatch. Before being fired by Apple, Faustor was head of Apple's iPhone and iPad software division and was one of Apple's heavyweights. Although Forstall has made a significant contribution to Apple, Forrestall seems a bit "annoying" to other Apple executives.

It has been reported that Mansfield could not stand a room with Forresor. Our guess is that if Forstall was not fired, the collaboration between Forstor and Mansfield would be needed during iWatch development, after which Mansfield was responsible for the development of mobile hardware and blessing Stoll is responsible for mobile software development. Only Mansfield could not stand a room with Forstone, and he certainly would not be able to work closely with Forstall on iWatch development.
We speculate that under these circumstances, Cook made the decision to fire Faustol with the aim of keeping Mansfield willing to continue working at Apple and developing the next generation of 'lethal' products for Apple.
So why Mansfield's profile will end up disappearing from the Apple executive page? Perhaps during the previous year, he was responsible for the corresponding transition of the Apple hardware development team. Now that he's probably done the job, he's focused entirely on the iWatch project. Apple, on the other hand, is Apple, which is willing to cast a mysterious color on the outside.
If Mansfield is indeed the head of the iWatch project, iWatch is likely to be the next generation of Apple's flagship product. Apple's strong move to retain Mansfield may be the wisest decision Cook will make during its first year as Apple's full-time CEO.
Apple's success in the market stems from the introduction of new products that redefine the industry landscape and maintain its long-standing advantage in new product areas. Almost four years have passed since Apple released the iPad. If the company wants to rediscover its "magic," then there is an urgent need to launch a new product that is transformative. And to be able to serve as a heavy responsibility for the product, it is likely that Mansfield is responsible for the development of iWatch.
