The Japan Geographic Information Space Agency (GIS) is the largest supporter of this project, and they are committed to the development of data software for topographic maps in various regions of Japan. GIS is the department responsible for Japan's land resources, infrastructure, transportation, and tourism. The topographic map is a good distinction between roads, railways, and sidewalks, and topographic maps will also perfectly represent topographical features such as uneven ground and hills.

According to the relevant departments, the topographic maps use two different scales. The topographic map of the urban area adopts 1:2500 (1cm=25m), while the rural area adopts 1:25000 (1cm=250m). The mapping of topographic maps is quite human and can improve the quality of daily life of users to some extent.
