The China Food and Packaging Machinery Industry Association follows the inscription and instructions of the central leadership to identify the location, give full play to its advantages, define the tasks, and strive to serve the government, industry, and enterprises.
China's food and packaging machinery industry is a new industry developed after the reform and opening up, and most of the equipment is developed through the introduction of equipment. The current level of technology to adapt to the domestic market is also very suitable for the economic conditions of developing countries and regions. This is our advantage. However, there is still a big gap between our equipment and industrialized countries:
First, there are few product varieties and supporting quantities. China currently has about 3,500-3,700 varieties of food and packaging machinery. The number of food and packaging machinery in industrialized countries has reached more than 5,300, and the number of complete sets is large.
The second is the low level of technology. The gap is mainly reflected in the control technology and product reliability. The pace of technological renewal is slow, and the scope of popularization of new technologies, new materials, and new technologies is too narrow. On an overall level, it is 15 to 20 years behind the developed countries.
The third is poor product quality. Mainly manifested in low productivity, high energy consumption, poor stability and reliability, product modeling backward and the life of accessories and other low.
This determines the overall strength of China's food and packaging machinery industry is not strong. Therefore, in the international market competition after China's accession to the WTO, in order to mitigate this impact, the China Food and Packaging Machinery Industry Association will play a major role in coordinating the protection of domestic industries, supporting domestic enterprises, and enhancing international competitiveness. Such as the use of multilateral protection mechanisms to safeguard the interests of domestic enterprises; in the international market competition, the development of international markets need to work out a plan that can strengthen the competitiveness of domestic enterprises as a whole; to assist enterprises in implementing anti-dumping, anti-subsidy and other legal measures, but also By the industry association. In short, after the accession to the WTO, the role and functions of the China Food and Packaging Machinery Industry Association should be further expanded and strengthened.
This year is the first year of the new century and the first year of the “Tenth Five-Year Plan”. The reform and development of state-owned enterprises have entered a new stage. In particular, China’s imminent accession to the WTO will bring us new opportunities and challenges. The packaging machinery industry will face fierce competition from foreign high-tech food and packaging machinery entering the Chinese market. The Chinese food and packaging machinery industry should clearly recognize the situation, work hard, and actively take countermeasures and measures to strive for new improvements and development.
