Corn starch adhesive production and development technology II

Corn starch high-strength adhesives are not only the most widely used light industrial raw materials, but also the first major category of the three major pulps in the textile industry. They are extremely widely used and are in short supply in the international market. The raw materials for producing this adhesive are: corn starch 12-14, caustic soda (liquid caustic) 0.86-0.96, borax 0.2-0.4, 30% hydrogen peroxide 0.1-0 .2, water 82-8 (the above are all %). The ratio of raw materials to water is 1:5-7.

To produce corn starch high-strength adhesives, the following points must be mastered in the ratio of raw materials: 1. Because of different binders used, starch origin, quality, climatic conditions, temperature and humidity changes and other factors are different, the starch in the raw materials The ratio of water to water should also be different. Too much water will reduce the viscosity. Too little will affect the fluidity of the product. Therefore, the same ratio must not be fixed. 2. The purpose of adding hydrogen peroxide is to fully oxidize the starch. When the starch fineness is less than 98 meshes, it is not easy to decompose and oxidize. If the imitation amount of lipid is too high, it is easy to combine with caustic soda to produce foam. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the amount of hydrogen peroxide, but the maximum cannot exceed 1.0%; Caustic soda can promote the decomposition of starch molecules, make the adhesive increase the consistency and make it have a certain fluidity, but the content is too high will make the viscosity drop and PH value increase; 4, borax makes the adhesive increase the consistency adhesion, but the amount used The adhesive will become rubbery and lose adhesive force. If too little, the adhesive will permeate into the paper easily. 5. The adhesive, if used, will generate foam. In the course of reaction, the ratio of materials used is improper or the reaction time is short. Defoamers such as silicone oil and tributyl phosphate may be properly added (or may be stirred back and used after heating); 6. If the oxidation is insufficient, it will appear. Crystal-like large chunks of condensation, should not continue to add water, you can put a small amount of oxidant temperature oxidation (or start the mixer for a long time stirring).

Produces corn starch high strength adhesives. Two kilograms of industrial enamel reaction pots can be used, each of which puts 320 kilograms of starch at a time. At a temperature of 21 to 25 degrees, 2496 kilograms of adhesive can be made. The process of the process is: (1) Add in the first reaction pot 960 kilograms (avoid water volume 1/2), heated to 60 to 65 degrees (the temperature should be controlled between 60 and 65 degrees throughout the process); (2) Add 320 kilograms of starch to the bowl, stir while adding 1 /4 The amount of caustic soda is well-mixed; (3) 3.2 kg of hydrogen peroxide at a concentration of 30% plus about 32 kg after diluted approximately 10 times with water, and then added to the mixture and stirred evenly, stirring every 10-15 minutes without mechanical continuous stirring , for 1 to 2 hours, to make it oxidized; (4) The remaining 3/4 lye (approximately 30% of the total amount of lye is about 72 kilograms) is added into the pot once to stir and gelatinize; (5) the second reaction pot is heated to 60 to 65 degrees hot water 1060 kg pumped into the first reaction pot to dilute, stir and dissolve; (6) dissolve borax 5.2 kg and 10 times water After homogenization, One pot was added with stirring to to translucent. Throughout the entire production process must be fully stirred, otherwise it is easy to produce solidification agglomeration, reduce viscosity and block the transmission pipeline.

The quality requirements of corn starch used for producing high-strength binders or slurries: (1) It should be a primary starch, and its ash powder is 0.1% or more; (2) The protein content of starch is strictly controlled below 0.5%; (3) The moisture content 14.0%; (4) Fineness 98-100 mesh; (5) Spots 25/cm2; (6) Acidity 20C/100g; (7) Color should be slightly yellowish white; (8) Odor normal; (9) Sulfur dioxide content below 0.004%.

The quality indicators of the finished product are: 1. The color is translucent and translucent; 2. The consistency is about 4-3 degrees; 3. The fluidity is 12 seconds when the adhesive temperature is less than 60 degrees, and the measuring method is 45. The adhesive was placed in a test cup with an inner diameter of 32 mm, a height of 60 mm, and a drop outlet diameter of 3 mm, and the drop time was recorded. 4. The initial adhesion of the adhesive force was 5-8 minutes and the total adhesion time was 15-20 minutes. 5 , Drying time to use when the blanks in the natural temperature of about 2 hours can be sent to the next process processing prevail. package.

Corn starch was used as the main raw material, and corn starch adhesive composed of sodium hydroxide, potassium pyroantimonate, borax, and other auxiliaries was added. Mainly used in cartons, cardboard and other industries. This agent can replace the long-established alkaline silicate (ie, water glass) adhesive, its advantages are: simple production equipment, easy to manufacture, quick production, high adhesive strength, moisture resistance is better than silicate. Moreover, the coating amount and cost are lower than that of the buccamine adhesive.

First, formula (weight parts):

Corn starch 50, potassium pyroantimonate 1 borax 6.5. Solid Sodium Hydroxide 18

Second, the preparation method:

After corn steeped, separated and washed, ground, and dehydrated, corn starch similar to ordinary flour was prepared, and its weight was 50 parts, and 133 parts were not prepared into corn flour slurry. The mixture was gelated with an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide (18 parts of sodium hydroxide and 30 parts of water), mixed at 70 degrees for 30 minutes, mixed with 300 parts of cold water, and stirred to obtain liquid A.

Dissolve 1 part of potassium pyroantimonate in 40 parts of water in another container, stir and dissolve, dilute with 1000 parts of water at 35 degrees, and mix with 6.5 parts of borax and 500 parts of corn starch to obtain B.
In 30 minutes, A and B were combined and stirred for 15 minutes to obtain a starch binder with excellent storage properties.

Third, note:

1. The ratio of starch to water should be suitable. Too much water will reduce the viscosity, and too little will affect the fluidity.
2, the fineness of starch should be as fine as possible. If it is less than 99 mesh, the starch is not easy to decompose and oxidize, causing the product to fail.

3, sodium hydroxide added control is good. Not much pot, otherwise the product viscosity is also reduced. 4. Bubbles appear during operation. The reaction mixture is mainly caused by improper proportioning of the reaction materials or caused by too short reaction time. An appropriate amount of defoamer silicone oil may be added or the reaction may be resumed.

5, sodium hydroxide is highly corrosive, and can burn the skin, use must pay attention.
